Austin Shepherd is an associate in the Corporate Practice Group in the firm’s Washington, D.C. office and serves as Lead Associate for the Telecom Team.
Areas of Practice
Austin advises telecommunications, technology, space and satellite, aerospace & defense and infrastructure companies on complex regulatory and policy challenges impacting their businesses. He regularly represents clients before the Federal Communications Commission (FCC) on matters involving emerging technologies, wireless and satellite spectrum policy and licensing, experimental licensing, regulatory fees and compliance and mergers & acquisitions. Austin also advocates on behalf of clients before “Team Telecom” and the Committee on Foreign Investment in the United States (CFIUS) on issues regarding commercial agreements and foreign ownership review.
Austin maintains an active pro bono practice focusing on refugee and asylum matters before USCIS and DHS.
