The Hollywood Reporter Names Robert Darwell a 2024 Power Lawyer
Sheppard Mullin partner and head of global media Robert Darwell has again been recognized as a Power Lawyer by The Hollywood Reporter (THR). Darwell has been selected to the list every year since its inception in 2006, with 2024 marking his 18th consecutive appearance.
THR this year highlighted Darwell’s wide-ranging work for Prime Video, from sports to TV overalls. He also represents Amazon Studios, Disney, Nickelodeon, Wondery and Meta in their biggest deals. Darwell recently represented Amazon MGM Studios in connection with a slate of sports-related documentaries, including “Earnhardt,” a history of the legendary car-racing family, “ChiefsAholic: A Wolf in Chiefs Clothing,” a true-crime documentary about the Kansas City Chiefs superfan and bank robber, and “Iverson: Unapologetic,” a feature-length documentary about NBA superstar Allen Iverson. He also recently served as production counsel for the second season of the television series “Lord of the Rings: The Rings of Power.”
Darwell also had recently written and directed two documentary films: “The 90s Club” and “Black Uniform.”
