Wynter Deagle Named a Finalist for 2024 Cybersecurity Stewardship Awards
Wynter Deagle was selected as a finalist for the San Diego Business Journal's 2024 "Cybersecurity Stewardship Awards." Each year, the publication selects an "Executive of the Year" and highlights companies in San Diego that have contributed to cybersecurity innovation, workforce development and community resiliency.
Deagle is an experienced trial lawyer and Certified Information Privacy Professional who defends clients in litigations, arbitrations and government investigations involving privacy; cybersecurity; consumer-protection; data breaches; and data collection, use and storage practices. Recently, Deagle obtained dismissal of 15 causes of action asserted against a large, national health plan in a putative class action alleging that a breach of patient medical and personal information occurred because the entity failed to employ reasonable privacy and cybersecurity measures in its use of web tracking technologies such as cookies and pixels. The case was particularly notable given that other courts have denied motions to dismiss similar claims in web tracking cases.
