Sheppard Mullin awarded Managing Intellectual Property’s 2018 “Milestone Case of the Year”

The firm received a “Milestone Case of the Year” award at Managing Intellectual Property’s 2018 Americas Awards on March 15 for its work on behalf of TCL Communications in Central District of California case TCL v. Ericsson. Judge Selna ruled that Ericsson’s license offers were not FRAND, and determined his own FRAND rates in the case. This is only the fourth U.S. bench trial in which this has happened. The Sheppard Mullin team included Stephen Korniczky, Martin Bader, and Matthew Holder.
