Carolyn Carey is an associate in the Business Trial Practice Group in the firm's Los Angeles office. 

Professional and Academic Background

Before transitioning to the legal field, Carolyn built a diverse professional background in the insurance and risk management industry, giving her a unique perspective that enhances her practice. She previously worked as a Client Advisor at Marsh & McLennan, where she advised multinational corporations on risk transfer solutions and regulatory compliance in over 80 jurisdictions. She also worked at Liberty Mutual, where she adjusted claims for corporate clients and underwrote commercial insurance policies for ocean marine risks.

While in law school, Carolyn served as an extern at the California Department of Insurance and to the Honorable Jacqueline H. Nguyen of the United States Court of Appeals for the Ninth Circuit. She also served as a research editor for the Loyola of Los Angeles Law Review and competed in the ABA National Appellate Advocacy Competition. She graduated magna cum laude and was recognized as a Sayre Macneil Scholar.
