IP Law Fundamentals: How to Identify, Protect, and Enforce Your Company’s Most Valuable Assets
Join us for a CLE presentation to cover the basics of Intellectual Property law. IP and Business Litigator Kazim Naqvi will explain the various fundamental types of intellectual property (patents, trade secrets, copyrights, trademarks and trade dress), how to identify and inventory these types of IP, how to obtain IP protection, and how to enforce IP rights. Kazim will also highlight war stories from various cases he has litigated, including a recent two-week patent and trade secret federal jury trial where he helped obtain a $38.6M verdict for his client. After attending this presentation, every attendee should have a basic understanding of the different types of IP and how each can be valuable to your business.
This event will be hosted in-person by Sheppard Mullin in conjunction with the Muslim Bar Association of Southern California (MBASC), and catered lunch will be provided. Please note: this program will not be recorded.
