Lunch With Your Government Contracts Lawyer

Country of Origin and "Buy American"
Sheppard Mullin Washington DC office
02.26.2013

Government procurements always include certain so-called "Buy American" requirements, which come in many different formulations. The interplay between "Buy American" and international free trade agreements often leads to significant confusion by Government and industry alike. Sheppard Mullin invites you to a lively seminar hosted by our Government Contract attorneys John Chierichella and David Gallacher. John and David will lead a discussion on the interplay between various "Buy American" restrictions and the Trade Agreements Act. The discussion will highlight recent guidance issued by U.S. Customs regarding the country of origin of computer software. John and David will also discuss regulatory and practical considerations based on commonly asked questions and their recent experience.
