STRIKING A DEAL — AND PITCHING IT:
This section will cover the impact recent Seventh Circuit jurisprudence may have on the prospect of settlement, and how it may impact incentives and costs of settling.

VALUING THE SETTLEMENT:
Common fund or claims made? How do you value non-cash awards? Should notice and administration costs be factored in as part of the benefit to the class? This section will cover the impact these questions might have on the valuation of a settlement, the question of attorneys' fees, and how to handle any funds left over at the close of the settlement administration process.
DEFENDING THE DEAL:
This section will address best practices for maximizing the likelihood a proposed settlement will be approved, survive objector challenges and appellate review, and withstand subsequent collateral attack.
