Overview
Julia Anderson is an associate in the Business Trial Practice Group in the firm's San Francisco office and a member of the firm’s Food and Beverage, Construction, and Cannabis Industry Teams.
Areas of Practice
Julia represents clients in complex litigation and general commercial matters in federal and state court. She helps resolve claims of fraud, breach of contract, defamation, antitrust violations, and unfair competition. She is involved in all phases of dispute resolution including pre-litigation counseling, pleadings, discovery, and dispositive motions, as well as through trial and appeal. In addition to helping clients in litigation matters, Julia provides comprehensive regulatory counseling on regulatory compliance and product labeling reviews.
Julia is deeply committed to pro bono work and serves on the firm’s pro bono committee. During law school, she represented a number of Afghan asylum-seekers, helping secure asylum for several of her clients, and graduating with Pro Bono Distinction.
Before joining Sheppard Mullin, Julia earned her J.D. from UCLA School of Law, where she served as Chief Digital Editor for the Journal of International Law and Foreign Affairs and served as Co-Chair of If/When/How, a reproductive justice organization. Prior to law school and after earning her B.A. in History and English from Arizona State University, Barrett, The Honors College, Julia earned a Fulbright Grant to teach in South Korea.
