Kanasha S. Herbert is special counsel in the Corporate Practice Group in the firm's Chicago office. 

Areas of Practice

Kanasha is a solutions-oriented transactional attorney with significant experience representing companies and entrepreneurs in buy-side and sell-side mergers and acquisitions, venture capital and growth equity transactions, intercompany spin-offs and wind-down transactions. She regularly represents private equity funds in portfolio acquisitions and venture capital and growth equity funds, angel investors and emerging growth companies in debt and equity financings across various industry sectors including healthcare, fintech, engineering services and food and beverage. Kanasha regularly advises clients in ongoing business matters, including formation, corporate governance, strategic transactions, joint ventures and collaboration agreements.

Prior to returning to private practice Kanasha was a securities finance attorney for a global custodian bank and was a hardware design engineer at a multinational information technology company prior to attending law school.
