Judge Tosses Trump-Era Pebble Mine Approval in Bristol Bay
Bloomberg Law reports the EPA can take a second look at its decision to withdraw proposed pollution limits for the Pebble Mine in Alaska’s Bristol Bay region, a federal court in the state said in a ruling that vacated the
agency’s action.
The U.S. District Court for the District of Alaska’s order Oct. 29 was a win for environmental and tribal
groups that have fought the agency over the gold and copper project.
Sheppard Mullin attorneys Paul Werner, Steven Hollman and Abram Shanedling represent one of the plaintiffs, Trout Unlimited, pro bono.
