Mariah A. Witt is an associate in the Business Trial Practice Group in the firm's Orange County office.
Areas of Practice
Mariah’s practice focuses primarily on trust and estate litigation and administration, and includes the following:
- Will and trust contests
- Breach of fiduciary duty actions
- Accounting disputes
- Judicial construction and modification of trusts
- Related civil claims
- Adjacent trust and estate administration
Mariah assists professional private fiduciaries, corporate fiduciaries, individual fiduciaries and beneficiaries in a variety of trust, estate and fiduciary matters. She regularly practices in Orange County, San Bernardino, Riverside and Los Angeles probate and civil courts. Mariah offers comprehensive advocacy services for every stage of litigation, including pre-lawsuit advice and negotiation, discovery, law and motion, multiple trials, and appeals. In addition to litigating matters to trial or resolution, Mariah also advises clients on adverse and contested trust administration and probates.
Mariah also dedicates significant time towards pro bono matters, and has served on Sheppard Mullin’s pro bono committee for two years. She is extremely active in the firm’s Diversity & Inclusion Affinity Network and Women’s Lawyer Group, and is a avid advocate for diversity, equity, and inclusion in the legal community.
Prior to joining Sheppard Mullin, Mariah served public entity and professional clients in a variety of general litigation matters including professional liability, civil rights, and premises liability. Mariah is a genuine and interpersonal attorney who takes a passionate, yet professional approach to each case.
Outside of the courtroom, Mariah loves cooking and exploring new recipes, is a regular concert attendee, and enjoys travel and boxing.
