Nina Franco is an associate in the Business Trial Practice Group in the firm's Washington, D.C. office. 

Areas of Practice

Nina represents clients in a broad range of commercial litigation matters, including contract and business disputes, insurance recovery, and brand, reputation, and crisis management matters. Across various matters, Nina has worked on drafting various pleadings, deposition preparation and oral argument outlines, pretrial memoranda, and discovery requests and responses.

Nina is also committed to pro bono work. She has successfully represented a single mother facing eviction in Massachusetts Housing Court, contributed monthly to the Lawyers for Good Government Reproductive Health Legal Assistance Project, and assisted a charitable foundation in meeting state solicitation requirements.

Prior to joining Sheppard, Nina was an associate at Brown Rudnick, where she worked on a variety of general litigation matters.

While in law school, Nina externed for the Honorable Lawrence J. Vilardo of the U.S. District Court for the Western District of New York. Nina also interned at Guttman, Buschner & Brooks, a boutique law firm specializing in Whistleblower and False Claims Act cases.

Nina also has policy experience, having interned for both Senator Charles E. Schumer and the late Representative Louise Slaughter.
