Sheppard Mullin Partner Steve Peterson Named Co-Chair of Veterans At Sheppard
Sheppard Mullin is pleased to announce that Houston partner Steve Peterson has been named co-chair of the firm’s Veterans At Sheppard (“VAS”) affinity group. He will share leadership responsibilities for VAS with co-chairs Brittany Walter and Quincey Collins.
VAS is the firmwide affinity group for attorney and staff veterans and active military personnel, and their family members. It strives to positively impact the veteran community through a variety of meaningful initiatives, including veteran-related legal education and pro bono projects; leading community outreach efforts that serve active duty military personnel and veterans; and participating in job fairs and transition services designed to integrate veterans into the civilian workforce.
“It’s truly an honor to help lead Veterans At Sheppard,” said Peterson, who is a founding partner of the Houston office. “As a proud United States Army veteran, I believe that any opportunity to give back to my fellow veterans and their families across all services is meaningful and important. Brittany, Quincey and I know the sacrifices these members of our communities make for us and I look forward to developing more opportunities to give back to them.”

VAS strategic initiatives supporting the veteran and military community include participating in the Veterans Legal Institute, the National Veterans Legal Services Program, the Veterans Consortium Pro Bono Program, the Veterans Job Mission, and the LACBA’s Veterans Legal Services Project.
