Sheppard Mullin Antes Up Entertainment & Media Partner, Shaun Clark, To Address Legal Issues of Poker at Harvard Law School Event
Sheppard Mullin is the primary outside counsel to World Poker Tour ("WPT") and Clark has guided the company since its inception through a variety of different challenging and interesting matters, including domestic and international television licensing, brand management, consumer products licensing, talent negotiations, copyright infringement litigation, and the company's initial public offering.
Clark will participate in the Harvard panel with Richard Harroch, partner, Orrick and author of "Poker for Dummies;" Andy Bloch, WPT professional and Harvard Law School alumni; Dan Walsh, head of government affairs, Greenberg Traurig, and chief lobbyist for the online gaming industry.The event's moderator is Professor Charles Nesson, director of Berkman Center for Internet and Society and avid poker enthusiast. Topics planned for discussion include the current popularity of poker, the intersection of law and poker, legal issues facing the world of poker, the future of poker in this country, and the next challenges to the industry.
