Sheppard Mullin Represents JAMDAT Mobile in $137 Million Acquisition of Blue Lava Wireless

Partner Tom Hopkins represented global wireless entertainment publisher JAMDAT Mobile Inc. in connection with its acquisition of Blue Lava Wireless, LLC for approximately $137 million. The transaction was completed on April 20 and Merrill Lynch & Co. acted as financial advisor to JAMDAT. As part of the transaction, JAMDAT has acquired an exclusive, 15 year worldwide license to the wireless telephony device rights for Tetris (with an option for an additional 3 years), one of the most popular mobile games worldwide. The team also included partners Linda Michaelson, John Bonn, Dave Paik, Martin Smith, Peter Menard, Amar Thakur, Carlo Van den Bosch, and associates Ian Smith, Erin Chrislock, Scott Lindley and Steven Jonker.
