Sheppard Mullin represented The Boeing Company in its acquisition of Aviall Inc. in an all cash merger for $48 per share or $1.7 billion. The transaction closed Sept. 20. Boeing is the world's leading aerospace company and the largest manufacturer of commercial jetliners and military aircraft combined. Aviall is the largest independent provider of new aviation parts and services in the aerospace industry. The Sheppard Mullin team included Tom Hopkins, Larry Braun, John Bonn, Martin Smith, Matthew Richardson, Ethna Piazza, Joe Coyne, Scott Roybal, Jim McGuire, Louis Victorino, John Stigi, Ian Smith, Erin Chrislock, Lauralee Gooch, Robert Wernli, Keith Szeliga, Jonathan Richter and Justin Yslas.
