Five Attorney Litigation Group Joins Sheppard Mullin Los Angeles
Bryan D. Daly, Charles L. Kreindler and Peter Morris have joined the Los Angeles office of Sheppard, Mullin, Richter & Hampton LLP as partners in the firm's Business Trial and Government Contracts practice groups, specializing in white collar criminal defense and complex civil litigation. The three partners will be joined by special counsel Barbara E. Taylor and Melissa K. Eaves. The group most recently practiced together with Mayer Brown in Los Angeles.

Daly has represented businesses and executives under investigation or charged with white collar criminal offenses. He has also conducted internal investigations and compliance inquiries for a number of major corporations, has investigated fraud and other allegations of misconduct on behalf of these companies, and has coordinated voluntary disclosures and case referrals to the Department of Justice and other impacted agencies. Daly is a former Assistant United States Attorney for the Central District of California, Criminal Division, Public Corruption and Government Fraud Section. As a federal prosecutor, he was responsible for the investigation and prosecution of a wide variety of government fraud cases, including health care fraud, bank and mail fraud, defense contractor fraud, environmental violations, and criminal tax cases.
Kreindler was a federal prosecutor in Los Angeles from 1989-1997. In that role, he investigated and prosecuted a variety of criminal offenses including health care fraud, defense procurement fraud, tax evasion, bank fraud, money laundering, international theft, murder, and counterfeiting. In private practice, Kreindler has successfully represented numerous individuals and companies in relation to federal criminal investigations. He is also an accomplished civil trial attorney with several multi-million dollar verdicts to his credit on behalf of plaintiffs as well as several defense verdicts on behalf of defendants.
In addition to white collar defense and complex business litigation, Morris specializes in healthcare matters and securities litigation. He served as an Assistant United States Attorney in the Criminal Division of the U.S. Attorney’s Office from 1989 to 1991. From 1994 to 1996, Morris held a full-time faculty appointment with the School of Law of the University of California at Los Angeles.

Daly received a J.D. from Rutgers University School of Law in 1985 and a B.A. from Ramapo College in 1982. Kreindler received a J.D. from Boston University School of Law in 1985 and a B.A. from State University of New York at Albany in 1982. Morris received a J.D., cum laude, from Harvard Law School in 1986 and an A.B., cum laude, with distinction, from Cornell University in 1983.
