Sheppard Mullin Chicago Adds Litigation Partners
Bradley C. Graveline and Daniel G. Rosenberg have joined Sheppard, Mullin, Richter & Hampton LLP as partners in the firm's Chicago office. Graveline joins Sheppard Mullin’s Intellectual Property practice group from Winston & Strawn, and Rosenberg joins the firm’s Business Trial practice group from K&L Gates.
Sheppard Mullin’s Chicago office has grown to fourteen attorneys from the six that launched the office three months ago. Chicago managing partner Larry Eppley opened the office in July, as part of a group of five attorneys who joined from the Chicago office of K&L Gates, along with partner Kevin Cloutier who joined from the Chicago office of Winston & Strawn.
“We are delighted to welcome Brad and Dan to the firm. Their respective litigation backgrounds and experience are substantial, and dovetail well with the firm’s strong IP, life sciences, construction and insurance practices," said Guy Halgren, chairman of Sheppard Mullin.
Commented Eppley, "It’s great to be able to add Brad and Dan to the Chicago office. Their litigation expertise is a strategic complement to the strong transactional foundation of the office. Brad and Dan are also a perfect fit with Sheppard Mullin's collegial atmosphere and entrepreneurial culture."
“Brad brings specific expertise handling significant pharmaceutical Hatch-Waxman and medical device matters, including first chair trial successes. He bolsters and adds depth to our growing ANDA practice and to our new Chicago office,” added Nick Setty, co-chair of Sheppard Mullin’s Intellectual Property practice group.
“Dan’s general commercial litigation practice specialties encompass construction and insurance law. His significant construction industry expertise includes advising on construction risk, negotiation and drafting of contracts, and litigating disputes. Dan also brings a wide variety of general litigation experience in the areas of product liability, securities and class action defense,” commented Fred Puglisi, co-chair of Sheppard Mullin’s Business Trial practice group.
Graveline received his J.D. from Northwestern University in 1990 and his B.A. from DePauw University in 1987. Rosenberg received his J.D., cum laude, from Loyola University of Chicago School of Law in 2001 and his B.S. from Miami University (Ohio) in 1998.
Yesterday, IP litigation partner Laura Chapman joined Sheppard Mullin in San Francisco from Foley & Lardner. Sheppard Mullin’s IP practice group has grown to 85 attorneys firmwide and the firm’s Business Trial practice includes 200 attorneys.
