Sheppard Mullin Represents Author and Activist Elizabeth Smart in Publication of New Book
Sheppard Mullin Special Counsel Kelly Crabb represented Elizabeth A. Smart in connection with her second book, Where There’s Hope, which is based on her own journey of coping and emerging stronger from being kidnapped and held in captivity as a teenager.
“Elizabeth is not only a survivor – she is a fighter,” said Kelly. “I am very proud to have introduced her to her publisher, St. Martin’s Press, and to have negotiated her publishing deals. She is an amazing client – and an even more inspiring human being.”
Where There’s Hope, a follow up to her #1 New York Times bestseller, My Story, is a powerful and inspiring book about what it takes to overcome trauma, find the strength to move on, and reclaim one’s life. In this book, Elizabeth returns to the horrific experiences she endured, and the hard-won lessons she learned, to provide answers. She also calls upon others who have dealt with adversity—victims of violence, disease, war, and loss—to explore the pathways toward hope.
