Sheppard Mullin Represents Emerging Esports Leader, Vindex, in Funding Round, Acquisition and New Launch
Sheppard Mullin represented Vindex, the emerging leader in esports led by CEO Mike Sepso, co-founder of Major League Gaming and a world-class team of esports pioneers and veteran fintech entrepreneurs, in its $60 million Series A Funding. The financing will allow Vindex to build a first-of-its-kind global esports infrastructure platform. Vindex also announced today the acquisition of Next Generation Esports (NGE) and the launch of Esports Engine, both industry-leaders in esports operations, production and technology. With these announcements, Vindex is immediately the largest pure-play esports infrastructure platform.
The Sheppard Mullin team representing Vindex in the financing, acquisition of NGE and launch of Esports Engine was led by partner Shon Glusky and included several attorneys across multiple offices, including partners Dmitry Chelnitsky, Keith Gercken and Jennifer Redmond; special counsels Carol Archer and Sean Kirby; and associates Amanda Ackerman and David Rostowsky; and attorney Ethan Aronson.
