Sheppard Mullin’s Whitney Jones Roy Elected Chair of the Los Angeles Regional Food Bank
Sheppard, Mullin, Richter & Hampton LLP is pleased to announce that partner Whitney Jones Roy has been elected Chair of the Los Angeles Regional Food Bank. Roy has served on the Food Bank’s Board of Directors since 2013.
“It’s an honor to serve as the Chair of such an incredible board and to work with the leadership team of the Food Bank,” said Roy. “The Food Bank does amazing work in Los Angeles, providing so much to the community. It’s humbling to be involved in an organization that makes a real difference in the world.”
Roy, a partner in the firm’s Los Angeles office, has 19 years of experience representing clients in complex business litigation and environmental litigation matters. She has also developed a specialty relating to products liability, Proposition 65, and CERCLA. Her clients come from a broad spectrum of industries including energy, financial services, insurance, real estate, construction, and pharmaceuticals. Roy has been recognized as one of the Top 100 Women Lawyers in California by the Daily Journal and as a Female Powerbroker by Law360.
Roy is also the founder of Sheppard Mullin’s Los Angeles Women Lawyers Group and served as the Office Managing Partner for the Los Angeles office from 2009 to 2017.
Roy earned her B.A. degrees in Political Science and Sociology from the University of California, Los Angeles and her
J.D. from the University of Southern California Gould School of Law.
