Sheppard Mullin to Participate in UCLA Entrepreneur Event
Sheppard, Mullin, Richter & Hampton, LLP is pleased to announce that the firm will participate in the 2004 Entrepreneurs Conference. The event will occur on Friday, April 30, 2004, from 7:30 a.m. to 6:30 p.m. at the UCLA Anderson School of Management.
Jim Haslem, partner in Sheppard Mullin's corporate practice group, will speak on a panel addressing how to negotiate a venture capital financing.
Marc Benioff, Chairman and CEO of salesforce.com, and Linda LoRe, President and CEO of Frederick's of Hollywood, will be the keynote speakers at this year's conference.
The theme of the 2004 conference is "The Evolved Entrepreneur." The concept encompasses both past lessons and present needs, and centers on preparing business people for the demands of today's unique entrepreneurial climate—one where funding is on the rise, but great ideas must be backed by a finely tuned strategy and careful planning.
