Richard B. Azada (Rich) is an associate in the Labor and Employment Practice Group in the firm's Los Angeles office.
Areas of Practice
Rich has extensive experience representing employers of all sizes in workplace law matters, including defending clients in discrimination, retaliation, harassment, and wage and hour actions. Rich’s litigation practice includes defending matters in federal and state courts, private arbitration, and before administrative agencies such as the California Department of Fair Employment and Housing, the California Division of Labor Standards Enforcement, the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission, and the United States Department of Labor.
Rich also advises employers on workplace issues, including reasonable accommodation, leaves of absence, wage and hour compliance, and employee discipline and termination.
While attending law school, Rich was a student editor for the Journal of International Media & Entertainment Law. Richard worked as an intern for the Labor Relations Division of the Los Angeles City Attorney and a major music record label. Rich also served as an extern for the Honorable Kirk H. Nakamura, Superior Court of California, County of Orange.
Rich represented clients in employment, professional liability, legal malpractice, and personal injury suits and entertainment contract transactions.
