Overview

Rizelle is an associate in the Labor and Employment Practice Group in the firm's San Francisco office.

Areas of Practice

Rizelle's practice focuses on employment litigation, where she represents employers in a range of civil lawsuits in state and federal courts. She represents employers against claims including harassment, retaliation, discrimination, wrongful termination, intentional infliction of emotional distress, and defamation. Rizelle also defends employers against individual wage and hour claims, PAGA representative actions, and class actions.

Prior to her legal career, Rizelle worked in-house as a legal assistant for a Fortune 500 technology company. There, she assisted a global team of attorneys with mergers and acquisitions, securities, and corporate governance matters.

While in law school, Rizelle participated in the UC Law SF (formerly UC Hastings) Appellate Project where she and a small team represented a pro bono client. Rizelle briefed a Ninth Circuit pro bono appeal and delivered the oral argument before the Ninth Circuit Court of Appeals. Rizelle also served as a board member for the UC Law SF moot court team and President of the Filipino-American law society.
