Susan Gov is an attorney in the Corporate Practice Group in the firm's Century City office.

Areas of Practice 

Susan’s practice focuses on corporate transactional matters across a variety of industries, including healthcare, food & beverage, and renewable energy. Her areas of expertise include conducting legal due diligence analyses, preparing deal documents such as disclosure schedules and material contracts summary chart, and addressing compliance concerns from the start of the due diligence process through post-closing operations.

Before joining Sheppard Mullin, Susan worked as a Senior Associate at a global accounting firm where she advised public and private companies in tax due diligence and structuring services including tax due diligence for both buy-side and sell-side deals, tax planning for tax “step-ups”, as well as tax structuring of mergers and acquisitions, dispositions, and carve-outs.

While in law school she clerked for the IRS Office of Chief Counsel with its Small Business/Self Employed Unit handling federal tax controversy matters as well as clerked for the State of California Department of Justice Office of the Attorney General.
