Overview

Sidney Howe is a Cybersecurity Fellow in the Governmental Practice in the firm's Washington, D.C. office. She is a member of the Governmental Practice Cybersecurity & Data Protection Team. Sidney is the Managing Editor of Sheppard Mullin’s Executive Actions Tracker, which includes links to the full text of each executive action, summaries organized by subject area, in-depth analysis of the implications, and links to court challenges that have been filed. 

Areas of Practice

Sidney represents and counsels companies that do business with the Federal Government. She provides counseling in the following areas:

  • Cybersecurity and data protection counseling;
  • Internal investigations;
  • Government contracts;
  • Federal regulatory compliance.

Sidney attended law school at the University of Maryland Francis King Carey School of Law where she earned a certificate in Cybersecurity & Crisis Management Law.

Prior to joining Sheppard Mullin, Sidney completed two clerkships in Washington, DC:

  • United States Court of Federal Claims, Law Clerk to Special Master Herbrina D. Sanders
  • Superior Court of the District of Columbia, Law Clerk to the Honorable Maurice A. Ross

During law school, Sidney worked for the federal government, including internships with the Federal Bureau of Investigation and U.S. Department of Justice. She also served as a Student Attorney in the Justice for Victims of Crime Clinic and Vice President of the International Moot Court Team.
