Overview

Gabriela Garcia-Bou is an associate in the Corporate Practice Group in the New York office and is a member of the firm’s Healthcare industry team. She is also a member of Sheppard Mullin’s Women in Healthcare Leadership Collaborative (“WHLC”) which promotes advancing women into leadership positions within the healthcare and life sciences industries.

Areas of Practice

Gabriela represents companies in a variety of corporate transactions, including mergers and acquisitions, joint ventures, financing, corporate governance, entity formation, and other general corporate matters. With her particular focus in the healthcare industry, she has experience assisting clients with acquiring, selling, forming, and investing in various entities such as not-for-profit and for-profit hospitals and health systems, ambulatory surgery centers, academic medical centers, managed care organizations, health plans, and other healthcare-oriented entities.

Prior to joining the firm full-time, Gabriela was a summer associate in the New York office and also a WHLC Student Fellow.

Gabriela earned her law degree from the Georgetown University Law Center. While in law school, she served as a Staff Editor at The Georgetown Journal of Gender and the Law, was a Council Member of Barristers’ in the Alternative Dispute Resolution Division, and was a representative in the Hispanic National Bar Association (“HNBA”) Law Students Division in HNBA. Prior to law school, she volunteered in New York as an Emergency Medical Technician (“EMT”) with the Stony Brook Volunteer Ambulance Corps.
