Mr. Sands is a partner in the Corporate Practice Group in the firm's Los Angeles office.
Areas of Practice
David principally represents financial service companies (including banks, mortgage companies and thrifts) in all stages of their corporate and transactional growth. He has particular expertise in structuring merger and acquisition, financing (including debt and equity), joint venture, and other corporate transactions in a manner that is contextually relevant to a client’s particular needs and industry focus, and in a manner that appropriately reflects the complexities and trends of various State and federal banking and consumer protection laws, and regulatory constraints.
David and his team have developed or worked on unique joint venture models for some of the largest banks, mortgage companies and thrifts in the country, as well as numerous regional financial institutions, and regularly interacts with state and federal regulators on transactions and programs that are designed to further a client's business needs and long term objectives. David is a regular speaker many industry trade association events and regularly writes articles on issues affecting the financial services industry.
