Sheppard Mullin Named a Runner-Up in Litigator of the Week Column
A Sheppard Mullin trial team that included John Keville, Chante Westmoreland and Robert Green earned a spot among The American Lawyer's "Litigator of the Week" column on September 26, 2024.
The recognition is a result of the team's representation of hip-hop mogul Clifford "T.I." Harris and his wife Tameka "Tiny" Harris in securing a $71.4 million verdict against MGA Entertainment Inc. in a lawsuit accusing the company's "L.O.L. Surprise! O.M.G." doll series of violating both the trade dress and likeness rights of the teen pop group OMG Girlz. Federal jurors in Santa Ana, California awarded the plaintiffs $17.8 million in damages tied to the profits MGA reportedly earned from the dolls and $53.6 million in punitive damages. The Sheppard Mullin trial team also included support from partner Michelle Replogle and associates Umar Sattar and Tomas Pradia.
